With continued growth & expansion, including more significant acquisitions, we’re working with the Financial Controller & CFO based in Derby to recruit a newly created role.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), as the business’ Corporate Accountant you’ll be given immediate access to the upper echelons of the business and will be given expert support from a range of sources to ensure you’re an overnight success.
There are 3 key aspects to this role;
Firstly, you’ll work closely with a range of stakeholders, including entrepreneurial business owners who work in partnership with the business to ensure they are operating as effectively as possible and within the realms and remit of wider business protocol & strategy. You’ll build effective relationships with these stakeholders in working to provide the best & most accurate flow of information back to the company on a monthly basis so that the right decisions can be taken for the good of the business. Strong knowledge of managing/modelling cash flow, balance sheet controls and budgeting & forecasting will be important.
Secondly, a sound knowledge of secretarial, statutory and regulatory (FCA) working rules & processes will be important. As Corporate Accountant you’ll work closely with the CFO & FC to ensure that all relevant statutory & regulatory reporting is met to a satisfactory standard. This will include managing the process and improving the processes around share options reporting and share scheme incentive plans.
Finally, experience and up to date technical financial & tax accounting skills are required. Responsible for producing the statutory accounts information that will feed into the management board and go toward the half year and annual results presentation, it’ll also be your role to ensure the business is prepared for any legislative or regulatory changes (e.g. IFRS), readily suggesting how potential changes should be handled.
