Need management experience to get a Purchasing Manager job.
Need management job to get Purchasing Manager experience.
It’s a frustrating catch-22 isn’t it.
A Nottingham based engineering business could offer the solution. They’re looking for a Buyer to join their newest business unit. Based on future orders books, there will be a clear progression path to become Purchasing Manager as the business unit grows.
The business designs and creates a technology that is changing the way we live in the world. Supplying into a wide range of well-known OEM’s, they offer an end-to-end design and assembly solution for their customers.
As a Buyer, you’ll be taking over the existing purchasing processes, whilst looking at improvements.
Spend is in the region of £14m from a supply base predominantly in Europe, with some long-lead time supply.
You’ll be able to impact the procurement through developing supplier relationships, introducing supplier performance reporting, supplier management, sourcing, and cost / contract negotiations.
Your development will also be prioritised (you’ll have the opportunity to have CIPS studies supported) and will be internally developed to make the step up in to a Purchasing Manager role in the future.
If you’re currently a Buyer and know you’re capable of progressing in the near future, we’d love to hear from you. Experience of purchasing in manufacturing or engineering is essential. CIPS is desirable but can be supported by the business.
