It’s Christmas evening.
Dinner is done. You can hardly move from the sofa.
You’ve just played game number 18 of charades when your uncle who’s had one too many sherries asks what you do for a living for the 7th time today.
Luckily, game number 19 is just about to start, and it’s your turn. Talking about work is the last thing you want to be doing whilst you’re off.
It’s not the fact you don’t enjoy being a Planning Manager – finding that sweet spot of balancing demand with material availability, production output, OEE, and waste has always appealed to the problem solver in you.
It’s just that niggling feeling of becoming stale in your current role that you can’t shrug.
A Nottingham based FMCG business might be able to bring the excitement factor back.
They’re looking for a Planning Manager to join their Supply Chain team.
Someone who, through effective planning, can also focus on strategic initiatives such as working capital and waste reduction, increasing OTIF, and assessing long term capacities.
They have some unique challenges (for one, they’re in a listed building which impacts on space!), so planning isn’t a straight forward task. You will, however, have a team of competent and very capable planners looks at short-term windows, allowing you to get your head around some of the strategic challenges planning faces.
The business has a healthy approach to S&OP, and you’ll be taking the lead from a planning point of view
If you’re experience in FMCG planning, and ready for a fresh challenge, we’d love to hear from you. If you’re working in food production planning, this could be the perfect opportunity to get your Christmases back.
