Assistant Accountant – Nottingham City Centre – £24,000 to £28,000 + Study Support

Are you looking for a role that will give you the relevant experience to fit in line with your CIMA / ACCA exams? Is your preference to work in a small finance team so that you’re given fantastic exposure that will allow you to develop your careers over the next three years?

The Finance Manager is looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to support her with all areas of the finance function. You will form part of a team of five; there are two Accounts Assistants who look after the transactional responsibilities, allowing you strong exposure to all aspects of management and financial accounting. As you move forward with your exams, you’ll be given extra responsibility.



  • Support the Finance Manager with the production of the management accounts
  • Month-end accounting (accruals, prepayments, journals)
  • Support with budgeting and forecasting with analysis in to variances
  • Financial accounting (balance sheet reconciliations, year-end accounting, oversee ledger postings, VAT returns)
  • Financial analysis and production of insightful management information



  • Experience of month-end management accounting
  • CIMA / ACCA studie



  • £24,000 to £28,000
  • Study support for CIMA / ACCA
