Picture this; it’s Monday morning and you’ve got a busy few days ahead, you’ve caught up with the team and your priorities today are getting ahead of your week so you can fully enjoy the regular trip to the Google head offices on Thursday.
So, first things first, you’ve got the weekly catch up with the content team to share with them your commercially aware ideas for the blog. After this you’re then presenting the content team with the data on the latest campaign, you’re talking them through the results and what this means, your conscious not everyone in the team is SEO savvy and make the explanations clear and simple for all. After this it’s back to monitoring the sites for unexpected changes in Meta, Robots directives and XML changes.
Tuesday rolls round and you kick start your day catching up on the latest SEO announcements which you then share with the rest of the SEO team. After lunch, you’re with the PR team gathering ideas for the next 6 months to have the campaign calendar set well in advance which is music to your ears when you’re as organised as you are.
It’s now Wednesday and as a ‘mobile first’ thinker you’ve been working on a tonne of SEO back links to optimise the Hillarys site and it’s time to analyse their success. Googly Analytics and Search Console are your best friends; you’ve highlighted the successes and you’re now able to anticipate changes and make the best recommendations for improvement. You immediately put this all into practise to devise the best strategy for the next campaign which you’re sharing with the Head of SEO tomorrow so you get your head down.
Before you know it, it’s Thursday and the office is buzzing with excitement because the trip to Google is tomorrow. Today your implementing the coming weeks campaigns once these are live you know you’ll be able to relax and fully engage with the day tomorrow. If last month’s trip was anything to go by your priority tomorrow is the lunch menu! You’ve wrapped Thursday up in a nice big bow and will be cracking Monday off with a thorough campaign analysis before giving everyone the run down from your trip to Google.
