Our Recruitment Process

Here at Distinct, we believe in doing the right thing, every time, supporting clients and candidates alike. The recruitment industry can have some negative feelings associated with it. We weren’t happy to be bundled into that category. We live by doing the right thing and we know that’s what sets us apart from our competitors.

We place candidates first. We ensure that we’ll be genuine and ethical even if that means we don’t make a fee. Providing honest, constructive and impartial advice to candidates on their career options allows us to thoroughly understand where someone may be best placed. There is a person behind the CV, and in a world so fuelled by automation and impersonality, it’s crucial not to forget this.

Although, we want to incorporate the human aspect of recruitment into our processes at all times, we aren’t afraid of embracing new technology. We use our own video technology to enable us to meet candidates who cannot meet in person for whatever reason, location or personal circumstances, for example.

Our average length of service in recruitment is over 5 years with a number of our consultants having well over 15 years of experience. We are true to our word and to make sure we stay by this we will never over-promise. We believe in talking in real terms on a genuine level with clients and candidates alike.

We act as a sounding board for our candidates and clients whilst adopting a long-term approach to candidate and client relationships. Importantly, our consultants don’t have endless KPI’s to hit: that’s how we provide the highest level of customer service. This is paramount to everything we do here at Distinct.
