How to Enter

The East Midlands Finance Awards are open for entry Monday 7th January

Closing Date for entries is 5pm Friday 29th March 2019

Award entries must be sent to financeawards@distinctrecruitment.com in Word format. Before completing your entry form please take a moment to read & review our award entry guidelines.

Once the closing date has passed our event partners will review all applications and the shortlisted finalists will be announced at a pre-awards networking event from 6:30pm on Thursday 23rd May at our Nottingham City Centre offices.

Information detailed within entries will be treated in strict confidence & will be shared with our event partners for judging processes only.

Once announced, our shortlisted finalists will be contacted by our event partners to arrange a time to discuss their entry, and relevant achievements in more detail. Our celebration & awards presentation will take place in “The Space” at the Nottingham Contemporary in Nottingham city centre from 6:30pm on Wednesday 26th June.

Introducing Our Guest Speaker

Neil Herbert | Group Chief Financial Offer @ Salary Finance… will be talking about “Creating & Leading an Award Winning Team”

We’re delighted to have Neil join us for the occasion, and are privileged to have him share his experience (& anecdotes) gained creating & leading an award winning finance team.

Neil has recently been appointed Group Chief Finance Officer of Salary Finance, a fast-growing, award-winning fintech, with a desire to do social good by improving the financial well-being of working people in the UK and US.

Prior to joining Salary Finance, Neil spent 17 years at Capital One including 5 years as CFO, leading a multi-award winning Finance team. He was recognised as Director of Finance magazine’s ‘Global CFO of the Year’ in 2015.

Neil is also an Executive Coach and an Independent Governor on the Board of the University of Lincoln where he is Chair of Remuneration Committee.
